OUT OF CONTROL: North Tonawanda firefighters battled a fire that damaged at least two buildings at Oliver and Schenck streets, including Mark’s Deli, just after midnight today. A tenant in an apartment behind the deli, Eric Damon, said he saw smoke between two buildings and went to investigate. “Flames were going up the side of the building and I yelled to my old lady to call 911,” Damon said. The blaze was still out of control at press time. Full details will be reported in Sunday’s paper.
