City of Tonawanda
DWI: Kenneth L. O’Brien, 23, 29 Lakeside Crescent, Lancaster, was charged at 5 a.m. Friday with DWI, making an unsafe turn and a traffic violation. O’Brien was stopped for turning without stopping for a traffic signal when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. O’Brien allegedly failed field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.17 percent blood alcohol content. O’Brien was held for court.
Town of Tonawanda
ADWI: Luis J. Reyes was charged at 1 a.m. Wednesday with aggravated DWI and an equipment violation. Reyes was stopped for driving without headlights when the officer noticed heavy front-end damage to the car and detected the odor of alcohol on Reyes’ breath, according to reports. Reyes told officers he had struck a guard rail earlier, and a search of the area turned up the car’s bumper, which had fallen off the car at the scene of the accident. Reyes allegedly failed field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.18 percent blood alcohol content. Reyes was held for court.
Niagara Falls
INCIDENT: Police were called to a motel on Niagara Falls Boulevard after staff said a 20-year-old Pierce Avenue man rented a room and hosted a party, after which $160 in damage was found done to the room. A thermostat, lamp and shower curtain were damaged.
