The traveling Treasure Hunters Roadshow will be hosting a 5 day long event at the Gratwick Lounge in North Tonawanda beginning Tuesday in search of rare and unusual collectibles.
The syndicated Treasure Hunters Roadshow has visited thousands of cites throughout the country with North Tonawanda being their first stop in Western New York.
“The owner began 15 years ago with a passion for collectable toys, and the business has blossomed ever since. Today we see just about everything,” said Matthew Enright, vice president of Media Relations. “It is important to keep an open mind since much of the valuable items brought to us are by owners who don’t think they had anything of value.”
Collectors and sellers alike can visit the numerous treasure experts stationed throughout the lounge. Items to be examined range from: coins, paper currency issued prior to 1965, toys, dolls, trains, vintage jewelry, old and modern musical instruments, war memorabilia, gold and silver jewelry, costume jewelry, advertising memorabilia, swords, knives, daggers and any other unusual items.
Uncovered treasures found throughout the week can be viewed on the Treasure Hunters Roadshow’s television series which is aimed to air the following week on a local channel. The official channel has yet to be hammered out.
Gratwick Lounge is located at 110 Ward Road.
