• Someone put up a large home-made sign advertising “Free Snow” at Sheridan Drive and Dupont Street after a week of brutal weather and heavy snows.

• The flag at Robert Frost School in the Town of Tonawanda was flying at half-staff since the death of the school’s namesake. Children in the school were collecting newspaper items about the poet and his work.
