Arrest made following assault of Kenmore resident.

Tonawanda News — KENMORE — A 54-year-old woman, Pamela Harmon, was brutally attacked in her Kenmore home Sunday and suffered severe head injuries that required surgery, according to police.

The Kenmore Police Department reported to Kenmore Mercy Hospital to take a report about the incident that occurred at Harmon’s residence on Nassau Avenue.

A statement from Chief Peter J. Breitnauer said Harmon was attacked by an acquaintance with a blunt object. She was discharged from the hospital Wednesday.

Following an investigation and interviews completed by Detectives Joseph Vacanti and David Lewandowski, police arrested Kurt P. Nagel, 25, the boyfriend of Harmon’s daughter, Sunday at around 4:30 p.m.

Nagel was charged with first-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use it and concealing, altering or destroying physical evidence. He was arraigned before Judge Scott Riordan, who set bail at $100,000. Police said a felony hearing is pending.
