Tax payments due Feb. 15

Tonawanda News — Town Clerk Marguerite Greco announced that Town of Tonawanda and Erie County tax bills will be mailed out as early as Monday.

Town residents can start to submit payments as early as Monday, also.

“We have in place multiple payment options to aid taxpayers in fulfilling their town and county responsibilities by the Friday, Feb. 15 deadline,” Greco said.

Tax payments by mail or money order can be mailed to the town clerk’s office at 2919 Delaware Ave., Rm. 14, Municipal Building, Kenmore, N.Y. 14217.

Residents may also pay in person during normal office hours, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The clerk’s office will also be open until 8 p.m. on Feb. 15 for added convenience.

A drop box is located on the Delaware Avenue side of the building near the handicap entrance. Residents can use the drop boxes to pay their taxes at any time.

Residents may also make tax payments online at the town’s website, www.tonawanda.ny.us, by clicking “pay taxes online.”

Credit card payments can also be made over the phone by calling the town clerk’s office, during business hours, at 877-8800, ext. 810.

The deadline for online payments is 11:58 p.m. on Feb. 15.

Late payments will be subject to interest and penalties.
