• A stalled car on the Tonawanda Island Bridge caused a traffic jam with cars backed up for a quarter of a mile on each side of the narrow, one-lane bridge.

Doris Day, Stephen Boyd, Jimmy Durante, and Martha Raye were starring in “Jumbo”, now playing at Dipson’s Star. The Riviera was showing a double feature: “The Head” – “it just won’t lay down and stay dead!” and “Horror Hotel” – “Just ring for doom service!”
