Jim Chilton, who rented aqua bikes from under the Delaware Street Bridge, planned to expand his offerings to electric bikes.

Patty Houghton, Brett Green, and Russell Carere were among the students that were treated to a magic show at Grant School by magician Dana Berent.

Melissa Bajorak and Ben Hauenstein were among the students at Drake School who participated in a three-hour mini-course on Creative Dramatics with L. Don Swartz, director of the NT Theater Workshop.

Edward L Steffens of Fletcher Street was promoted from Private First Class to Corporal Technician at Fort Mason where he was attached to the Army Post Office detail.

• The Ladies’ Aid of Immanuel Lutheran Church celebrated their 50th anniversary with a banquet held at the Parish rooms. President Mrs. C. C. Tiedman welcomed 150 guests.
