City of Tonawanda
DRUGS: Three people were arrested early Tuesday morning after a reported fight near the corner of Delaware and Broad streets.
Tyler J. Morford, 19, 115 Goundry St., Apt. B, North Tonawanda; Jacob Ware, 38, 408 Oliver St., Apt. 2, North Tonawanda and Jessica A. Thompson, 29, 91 Miller St., North Tonawanda, were each arrested.
Police said Morford was in possession of crack cocaine while Ware was in possession of a pipe and Xanax pills. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance. Morford was taken to DeGraff Memorial Hospital for an eye injury thought to have been sustained in the fight.
Thompson was charged with second-degree harassment. She and Morford were issued appearance tickets. Ware was held for court.
WARRANTS: Scott A. Wendel, 39, 328 Broad St., upper, was arrested Monday on warrants for second-degree assault, criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree menacing. He was held for court.
DWI: Jose L. Madera, 41, 62 Longs Ave., was arrested Monday night for aggravated DWI, not wearing a seat belt and driving on a sidewalk late Monday. Police say Madera told officers he thought he was traveling on Sweeney Street when in fact he was driving on a canalside footpath. He was held for court.
