Man ID'd in town robbery

TOWN OF TONAWANDA — Town of Tonawanda police have issued a warrant in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Friday at the NOCO gas station at 820 Niagara Falls Blvd.

Police have identified Louis Henhawk, of the Town of Tonawanda, as a suspect in the case. The charges include first-degree robbery, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Henhawk allegedly entered the store around 2:03 a.m. Friday.

The report states that Henhawk approached the employee at the register and said “don’t be stupid, give me the money.”

Henhawk was wearing jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt and threatened the employee and a patron of the store with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The clerk gave Henhawk approximately $100. Henhawk then fled onto Moore Avenue and it is suspected he got into a car on the street and left the area.

Another employee of the store was outside at the time of the incident and got a good glimpse of the suspect.

The employee gave a statement, which assisted the police in their investigation.

Anyone who knows Henhawk or his whereabouts are asked to contact the town police by calling 911, 876-5300 or the confidential tip line at 879-6606.
