Organizers hope a fundraiser next Thursday at North Tonawanda’s Carnegie Art Center will draw a crowd.
The center’s Executive Director Mary Simpson recently announced the event, featuring “great food and entertainment recognizing both the literary and visual arts” scheduled to take place at the 240 Goundry St., center Oct. 22 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
“More than 50 local artists have created one-of-a-kind bookmarks just for the event,” a statement reads.
Food, wine and a silent auction featuring the custom-designed bookmarks as well as collectible books are all fixtures of the evening.
Tickets cost $15 pre-sale for members and $20 at the door.
The center sustains a multi-use art space, exhibitions, fine art and dance classes and artists’ development workshops throughout the year.
More information on the event can be accessed by visiting www.carnegieartcenter.org or calling the center at 694-4400.
