Staff Reports
Town of Tonawanda police are extending an open invitation for residents to attend an informative evening hosted by the town’s Crime Resistance Executive Board. The Board sponsors its “Town Wide” meeting once a year to bring neighbors together and discuss issues related to crime resistance within the town.
This year FBI agents will be presenting an in-depth program regarding gang activity and the ongoing war against drugs. They will discuss activity in each town community and ways residents can help deter criminal activity and keep themselves and their neighbors safe.
Agents will also share information about their Citizen’s Academy and how to enroll. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Sheridan Community Building, 3200 Elmwood Avenue.
The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle and door prize drawings. For more information, contact Detective Robert Goetz at 879-6645.
