BLOTTER: Police reports published November 14


Town of Tonawanda

DWI: David P. Bunnell was charged with DWI at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. Bunnell was stopped after a report of an intoxicated driver when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Bunnell allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and refused a chemical breath test. Bunnell was held for court.

HARASSMENT: Joseph A. Atallah was charged with second-degree harassment for allegedly punching another student in the groin at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday. He was released on an appearance ticket.

City of Tonawanda

WARRANT: Mark D. Hellerer, 37, 67 Somerton Ave., lower, Kenmore, surrendered Friday on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was held for court.

Niagara Falls

DISORDERLY: A Tonawanda woman was arrested after a Border Patrol officer found her lying in the middle of a street. Jeannie K. Kennedy, 52, of Tonawanda Creek Road, was charged with disorderly conduct. The officer said he found Kennedy laying in the street at Lewiston Road and Lafayette Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Kennedy was reportedly highly intoxicated and threw a vodka bottle at the officer as he attempted to help to the sidewalk.

NOT GUILTY PLEA: Arthur Maedl, 34, 1689 Linden Ave., North Tonawanda, pleaded not guilty to a charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court Monday for further proceedings. Maedl is accused of having a small quantity of cocaine and $1,500 in his possession when he was stopped by police in the 2400 block of Niagara Street on Thursday afternoon.
