BLOTTER: Police reports published November 17


Town of Tonawanda

DWI: Gregory R. Haase was charged with DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding and moving from a lane unsafely at 2:25 a.m. Sunday. Haase was stopped for speeding when the officer detected the odor of marijuana, according to reports. Haase allegedly surrendered a pipe containing marijuana to officers, failed multiple field sobriety tests and submitted blood and urine for testing. Haase was released on an appearance ticket.

DWI: William R. Benton was charged with DWI and moving from a lane unsafely at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Benton was stopped for weaving when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Benton allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.15 percent blood alcohol content. Benton was held for court.

LARCENY: Charlene Thomas was charged with burglary, petit larceny, criminal mischief and harassment at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Thomas allegedly slapped another woman, then entered her home and stole the woman’s phone as she was talking to police. Thomas has held for court.

DWI: Aaron A. Griffin was charged with DWI, speeding, an equipment violation and refusing to take a breath test at 1:05 a.m. Saturday. Griffin was stopped for speeding and a tint violation when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Griffin allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and refused a chemical breath test. Griffin was held for court.

MENACING: Christopher A. Lorenz was charged with third-degree menacing at 11:34 p.m. Thursday. Lorenz allegedly threatened his girlfriend and attempted to punch her in the stomach to harm her unborn baby, according to reports. Lorenz was held for court.



City of Tonawanda

DRUGS: Fred D. Lian, 19, 580 Allenhurst St., Apt. A, Amherst, was arrested Monday for possession of marijuana, driving without a license and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was released after being issued an appearance ticket.

CONTEMPT: William E. Brabson, 50, 130 Grove St., upper, was arrested Saturday for contempt. He was held for court.

DWI: Eric Pearson, 24, 1458 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda, was arrested Monday for DWI, running a red light, refusing to take a breath test and driving without a license. Pearson was stopped near the corner of Main and Johnson streets. He was held for court.



North Tonawanda

DISORDERLY: Jonathan N. Olka, 28, 65 Cleveland Ave., was arrested Sunday for disorderly conduct. He is being held in lieu of $100 bail.

DISORDERLY: Bryan A. Malvcci, 26, 99 Linwood Ave., was arrested Sunday for disorderly conduct. He was released after being issued an appearance ticket.

DWI: Kristy A. Tiedermann, 34, 7148 Wheeler Road, Lockport, was arrested Sunday for aggravated DWI, failure to yield, driving left of pavement markings, running a stop sign and driving without a license. She is being held in lieu of $750 bail.

DWI: Kenneth W. Nedell, 43, 7153 Schultz Road, was arrested Sunday for DWI and moving from a lane unsafely near the corner of Nash Road and Klaum Street. He is being held in lieu of $750 bail.

DWI: Jill M. Keleher, 29, 5158 Upper Mountain Road, Lockport, was arrested Sunday for aggravated DWI and having a loud muffler. She is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
