The New York State Department of Transportation will conduct pavement maintenance on Interstate 290 eastbound in the towns of Tonawanda and Amherst.
As a result, beginning on Tuesday, the 290 between Interstate 190 and Interstate 90, will be subject to intermittent lane closures from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to allow for crack sealing. At least one lane will remain open at all times. This work is expected to last for one week.
