CHARGED: Michael T. Newton, 29, 54 2nd Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated at 1:33 a.m. Wednesday. Newton’s blood alcohol content was 0.11 percent, according to reports. Newton is being held in lieu of $250 bail.

CHARGED: Robert H. Marlinghalls, 16, 99 15th Ave., and Jimmie T. Carson, 22, 43 5th Ave., were charged with petit larceny at 4:56 a.m. Wednesday. Both men are being held in lieu of $250 bail.

CAR THEFT: An employee of Shanghai Chinese Restaurant on Main Street reported that his car was stolen while he went inside the restaurant to pick up a delivery order, according to reports. The theft occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. The employee, a 36-year-old Buffalo resident, parked his 1997 white Toyota Corolla in front of the restaurant and was inside for about 10 minutes talking to a co-worker. It was the second car stolen in the city within the past week. Three youths were suspected of stealing a brand-new Chevrolet Impala at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 8, when a 26-year-old Tonawanda man left his car running and unlocked while he went in for a cup of coffee.

CHARGED: Michael Moore II, 29, 379 Broad St. Apt. 1, was charged at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving to the left of pavement markings and driving without a license. He was released on an appearance ticket.

CHARGED: Joann P. DeCecco, 36, 4 Malinder Ave., was charged at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following a domestic incident. She was held for court.

CHARGED: Thomas E. Patterson, 21, 669 Englewood Ave., Buffalo, was charged with driving while intoxicated, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal possession of stolen property over $3,000, possession of burglary tools, possession of a hypodermic instrument, reckless driving, failure to use headlights, speeding, failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle, running a red light, operating a vehicle without a license, refusal to take a breath test and third-degree fleeing police in a motor vehicle at 4:04 a.m. Friday. An officer attempted to stop Patterson, who was allegedly speeding with the headlights out in a stolen car, according to reports. Instead of pulling over, Patterson allegedly led Kenmore and Town of Tonawanda police on a chase that reached speeds in excess of 80 mph, according to reports. After hitting several road signs, Patterson allegedly fled on foot and was apprehended in a backyard, according to reports. Patterson allegedly refused all sobriety tests, but had an odor of alcohol on his breath and a hypodermic needle in his pocket, according to reports. Patterson is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.

CHARGED: David Stapleton, 19, 2395 Elmwood Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign at 2:21 a.m. Saturday. Stapleton allegedly ran a stop sign and was found to have an odor of alcohol on his breath, according to reports. Stapleton allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and had blood drawn for a chemical test, according to reports. Stapleton was released to his parents.
