City of Tonawanda
DRUGS: Sebastiano Spurio, 21, 292 Ashland St., Buffalo, was arrested Sunday for possession of marijuana. Spurio was issued an appearance ticket and turned over to Town of Tonawanda police on a separate warrant.
DRUGS: Ryan M. Dolly, 18, 223 William St., upper, was arrested Sunday for possession of marijuana, possession of fireworks and unlawful growing of cannabis in his residence.
A police report states police were investigating a tip of possible animal abuse. The report states the man’s two dogs appeared fine and in good health. Once in the home, however, one of the officers spotted a marijuana plant allegedly growing in the living room window, along with some small plastic bags and five bottle rockets.
Dolly was released after being issued an appearance ticket.
North Tonawanda
DWI: Michael A. Westfall, 18, 165 Mead St., Apt. 5, was arrested Monday for DWI, unsafe start, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding. Westfall’s car was stopped near the corner of Hewitt Street and Niagara Parkway. He is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
Town of Tonawanda
DWI: Howard A. Jewell was charged with aggravated DWI, moving from a lane unsafely, unsafe turn and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle at 4:51 a.m. Sunday. Jewell was stopped for swerving and making an improper turn when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Jewell allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.18 percent blood alcohol content. Jewell was held for court.
DWI: Martin C. Grandolph was charged with DWI and failure to stop at a stop sign at 2:10 a.m. Sunday. Grandolph was stopped for rolling past a stop sign when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Grandolph allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.16 percent blood alcohol content. Grandolph was held for court.
DWI: Bruce W. Brent was charged with DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container at 2 a.m. Sunday. Brent was being questioned after an accident when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Brent allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.17 percent blood alcohol content. He also surrendered a bottle of Loritabs to police. Brent was held for court.
DWI: Eric M. Barrett was charged with aggravated DWI, a muffler violation, speeding and running a red light at 3:35 a.m. Saturday. Barrett was stopped for speeding through a red light when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Barrett allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.22 percent blood alcohol content. Barrett was held for court.
