BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 13, 2010


City of Tonawanda

WARRANT: Joseph E. Aleksandrowicz, 18, 63 Elm St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal trespassing and criminal mischief. The charges stem from an alleged burglary Nov. 24. Aleksandrowicz was held for court.

WARRANT: Stephen R. Heilmann, 31, 162 Jenell Drive, Grand Island, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for DWI, driving without a license and driving left of pavement markings. He was held for court.

WARRANT: Darren S. Tinkham, 24, 1765 Parker Blvd., Town of Tonawanda, surrendered Tuesday on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was held for court.

LARCENY: Robert E. Tall, 33, 1801 Ontario Ave., Apt. 2, Niagara Falls, was arrested Monday evening after he was allegedly caught shoplifting at the Tops market on Niagara Street. He is charged with petit larceny and possession of marijuana. Numerous items a store manager said Tall tried to wheel out of the store in a shopping cart include laundry and bathroom supplies, several kinds of meat including a $50 ham, an 18 pack of beer and other items totaling more than $200. Tall is being held in lieu of $250 bail.

North Tonawanda

CONTEMPT: Richard M. Porembski, 44, 94 Oakwood Terrace, was arrested Monday for criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. He was held for court.

Wheatfield

BURGLARY: A John Grandville Drive woman told police Monday that someone entered her residence without permission and stole $300 worth of items, including prescription pills.
