A two-car accident in the City of Tonawanda Wednesday afternoon sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with a possible dislocated shoulder.
Brian Boivin, 45, of North Tonawanda, was ejected from his Harley Davidson and vaulted over a vehicle driven by Samantha Valenti, 35, of Buffalo after police say she failed to yield at the intersection of Delaware and Morgan streets.
Boivin, who police say was conscious when emergency responders arrived, was taken to ECMC with abrasions and a possible separated or dislocated shoulder, police said.
Valenti was headed east on Morgan Street at 4:22 p.m. when, according to a police report, she stopped at a stop sign before proceeding into the path of the motorcycle heading north on Delaware Street.
“The witnesses say she stopped at a stop sign but then attempted to cross Delaware and (the motorcycle) collided with the passenger side door,” City of Tonawanda Police Lt. Fredric Foels said.
Valenti was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
