— — Traffic was diverted at the intersection of Payne Avenue and Ward Road for about half an hour Thursday after a two-car accident at 7:11 p.m. sent one woman to DeGraff Hospital. North Tonawanda police say the driver of a white Pontiac Grand Am traveling south on Payne turned into the path of an eastbound green Ford Taurus. The driver of the Taurus was given first aid by NT firefighters and transported by Twin City Ambulance to DeGraff. The driver and a passenger in the Grand Am were not injured. The names of the drivers were not released as of press time.
