Police arrest NT woman for allegedly killing boyfriend

NORTH TONAWANDA — A North Tonawanda woman was arrested by police in her Oliver Street apartment for allegedly killing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife.

Jennifer R. Marchant, 23, 580 Oliver St., Apt. 3, was charged with second-degree murder at roughly 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, after police responded to a domestic call. Her boyfriend, 24-year-old Ralph D. Stone, was found bleeding in the apartment with a single stab wound to his neck area. The 11th Avenue man was attended to by officers and paramedics but died a short while later.

Marchant, who was inside the apartment when the officers arrived, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder. She was arraigned in North Tonawanda City Court Thursday morning and held without bail.

Both she and the victim have a history of arrests.
