Sylvia G. Kirisits

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD —  

Sylvia G. (nee Nadeau) Kirisits, age 96 of the Town of Wheatfield, Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Elderwood Village at Glenwood in Williamsville. She was the wife of Rudolph J. Kirisits, who died in 1980 and mother of the late Kenneth Kirisits. Sylvia had been employed as Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Wheatfield for many years before retiring.
She is survived by three children, Gloria (Donald) Pokelwaldt of Kitty Hawk, NC, Norman (Kathryn) Kirisits of Tonawanda and Michael (Cheryl) Kirisits of San Antonio, FL; her daughter-in-law, Faith (the late Kenneth) Kirisits of Elma, NY; her brother-in-law, Valentine Kirisits of Williamsville; and her very dear friend, Jenny Castex of Wheatfield. Also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St. in Tonawanda. Friends invited. The Rev. Michael Uebler will officiate. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
