Elizabeth H. "Betty" Cothard, born on September 23, 1923 in Buffalo, NY. Betty was called home by the Lord on January 26, 2013 in Plano, TX. Betty was a longtime resident of Tonawanda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Cothard; her grandson, Billy Cothard; her parents, Francis and Cornelia Adams; her brother, Robert Adams; and her sister, Ann Kaple. She is survived by her children, Kathy Laubenthal of Tampa, FL, Donald R. Cothard (Candace) of Camp Hill, PA, John W. Cothard (Pam) of Dallas, TX, Bethann Roberts (Doran) of Plano, TX, and Peter Cothard (Deb) of Tonawanda. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren, Barbara, Aime, John, Allison, Stephanie, Pam, Michelle, Amber, Jillian, Lauren and Peyton; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild brought a smile to her face. She is survived by her older sister, Mary Wilkin; and younger brother, Francis; and sister-in-law, Delores Adams; daughter-in-law, Paula Cothard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be planned at St. Francis of Assisi in the spring. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Living for Zachary, PO Box 867671, Plano, TX 75086, or on line at Living4Zachary.org.
