Laura M. Bylebyl

NORTH TONAWANDA — Laura M. Bylebyl (nee Wolicka), age 97, of North Tonawanda, passed away in DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility on February 10, 2013. Laura had received her Bachelor of Arts degree from     D'Youville College in 1936. She was an accomplished woman, master craftswoman in needlework and was a life master Bridge player.  She also was a charter member of the DeGraff Auxiliary.

Laura was the wife of the late Dr. Harry Bylebyl (1914-2001), who was the former Chief of Surgery at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Beloved mother of Patricia (James) Van Verth of Kenmore, Carolyn (Thomas) Batt of North Tonawanda, Michael (Judy) Bylebyl of Wilson, and Joseph (Nan) Bylebyl of Ithaca, and the late Jerome and Thomas Bylebyl.  Grandmother of James, Thomas Edward, William, Bridget, Katharine, Elizabeth, Gwendolyn, Amy and Joseph; great-grandmother of Fiona. Sister-in-law of Harriet Bylebyl of North Tonawanda and Wilma Wolicki of Virginia; aunt of several nieces and nephews.

No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:30 AM from Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver St., North Tonawanda. If so    desired, memorials may be made to DeGraff Memorial Hospital or Niagara Hospice.
