Alexander B. "Al" Soos

NORTH TONAWANDA — With his family gathered together for the holiday, Alexander B. "Al" Soos, age 75, died on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012.

A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda and a graduate of NT High School, he attended the      University at Buffalo, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Active in numerous community organizations, he was especially proud to found the Ascension Men's Choir, which he directed for 40 years. With more than 30 years of service, he retired as Chief Operator for the North Tonawanda Water Department. Al and Marie, his wife of 54 years, traveled extensively across Europe and America. Son of the late Alex and Anna Soos.

Beloved husband of Marie (Lang) Soos; dear father of Annette (Stephen) Hodgens, John (Ellen) Soos, Louis Soos, Patrick (Lori) Soos and James Soos. Cherished grandfather of Alexander, Patrick, Mary Kate and Brendan Hodgens; Jack, Laura, Daniel, Matthew, Michael, Benjamin, Nicholas, William, Meghan and Stephen Soos. Brother of Thomas and Lawrence (Linda) Soos.

Friends were received by the family on Friday, November 23rd from 3-7 PM at Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa on Saturday, November 24th, at 11 AM.
