Margaret M. Schimpf

GASPORT — Margaret (nee Harmon) Schimpf, age 91, of North Tonawanda, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Absolut of Gasport, after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (nee Shine) Harmon and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Mrs. Schimpf had been employed as a nurse's aide before retiring, and had been a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Madonna Council No. 2535 in North Tonawanda.  She was the wife of the late Frederick C. Schimpf, who died in 1995.

She is survived by her two sons, Clifford J. Schimpf and David (Sally) Schimpf; and four grandchildren, Susan Francis, Clifford (Kimberly) Schimpf, Jennifer (James) Carroll and David  (Allison) Schimpf. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-5 PM on Wednesday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM     Thursday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street, Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Acacia Park Cemetery. If desired, memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Church are preferred by the family.
