Walter H. A. Thiemecke

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Walter H. A. Thiemecke, age 93, of the Town of Wheatfield, July 28, 2012. Walter was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Co. and worked as a Supervisor at S. B. Whistler & Sons for 30 years, and later as a manager at Houdaille Tool Manufacturing. Walter was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was the husband of the late Esther Thiemecke, who died in 2005. Beloved father of Lawrence W. (Ursula L) Thiemecke of Orchard Park and Joanne B. (Peter) Schultz of Fairport, NY. Grandfather of Esther A. (Peter) Ostberg, David M. Thiemecke, Mark C. (Carli) Schultz, Gretchen (Scott) E. Pattison and Erica A. Thiemecke and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Margaret Vorpahl of Ransomville and Robert A. Thiemecke of Norridge, IL.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Friday from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on          Saturday at 1 PM, the Rev. Ronald Oravec will  officiate. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church general fund. Guest register available at frettholdfuneralhome.com.
