NORTH TONAWANDA —
Gerarda Kooy of North Tonawanda, entered into rest on July 3, 2012. Born on February 24, 1919 in the Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Petronella (Van Steenbeek) Hissink. Gerarda was a member of the International Institute of Buffalo.
She was the wife of the late Arie Kooy; mother of Gerarda "Ada" (Albert) Payne and Jon (Joanne MacSwan) Kooy; grandmother of Miranda (Michael) Pachan, Maryke Payne and Marina Payne; great-grandmother of Natalia, Anthony and Lucas. Gerarda was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. on Monday from 11 AM to 12 Noon for a gathering in Gerarda's memory. Funeral service will immediately follow. Flowers gratefully declined.
