Catherine "Jean" Martin

LOCKPORT — Catherine "Jean" (nee Hall) Martin, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life Friday, March 15, 2013, at the age of 83, at the Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was a wonderful homemaker and created many memorable holidays for her family and grandchildren. She retired in 2002 from Gilmore School where she enjoyed being a foster grandparent. Jean was a long-time parishioner of the former St. Joseph's R.C. Church.

Beloved wife of the late Frank "Cy" Martin. Dearest mother of Donald Martin of Niagara Falls, NY, Patricia (David Sr.) Doane of Tonawanda and the late MaryJean Brewster. Proud and loving Gram of Brian (Cathy) Martin, Randy Martin, David Doane, Jr., Karen (Carl) Nocera and Daniel (Marissa) Brewster and great-grandma of Ali, Olivia, Jared, Jenelle, Isabella, Cy, Connor, Shannon and Liam. Dear sister of William (Judy) Hall of Tonawanda. Also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on SUNDAY, March 17 from 2-6 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271), where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 9:30 AM. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. Memorial gifts may be made in Catherine's honor to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
