NORTH TONAWANDA —
George Frederick Novak, age 87, of North Tonawanda, unexpectedly, March 17, 2013. George was a WWII Navy veteran. He worked as a Master Electrician for Fowler Electric, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the IBEW Local #41. George was an avid golfer.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Quinn) Novak. Father of Carole Novak-Lewis of North Tonawanda, Christine Hess of Lockport, NY, Richard (Nancy) Novak and Michael Novak, both of North Tonawanda. Grandfather of Eric (Stacey) Hess, David (Amy) Novak, Megan Hess and C.J. Lewis; great-grandfather of Claudia and Taylor Novak. He was the brother of numerous brothers and sisters; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service of Friday at 1 PM from the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute or the Lions Club.
