Stewart M. Milne

NIAGARA FALLS — Stewart M. Milne, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Born in Niagara Falls on March 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Stewart and Ida (Park) Milne. He attended local schools and graduated from the former Niagara Falls High School in 1946. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Japan.

On July 21, 1951, he married his wife, Stella. She predeceased him in November 2001. Stewart worked at the Oldbury Chemical Company, later known as Hooker Chemical, then Occidental, for 39 years before retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his children, Pamela Milne of Randallstown, MD; Jeffrey (Diane) Milne of North Tonawanda; Robert (DeAnna Rose) Milne of Niagara Falls, and Alison (Matthew) Spirko of Powhatan, VA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Michael (Rebecca) Milne, Tara (Robert McKinney) Milne, and a great-grandson, Connor Milne. His sister-in-law, Janet (late Vincent) Locey, as well as several nieces and nephews, also survive. Stewart was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Milne.

There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations, if so desired, may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
