Yolanda Marie Schebell

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

Yolanda Marie Schebell, "Lonnie", age 93, formerly of North Tonawanda at the Beechwood  Homes in Getzville. Lonnie was a member of the former Ascension R.C. Church. She attended Serge School of Cosmetology and worked as a hair stylist until her marriage. She was a loving and caring home maker and mother who filled the house with her singing while cooking very large Italian meals. Her door and kitchen were always open to friends and neighbors. Legend has it that she made the best meatballs in the Twin Cities. She and her husband, the late Salvador, loved to dance to the Big Band Orchestras of the 1940's. Loving wife of the late Salvador Schebell. Sister of the late James J. Farino.
Devoted mother of Anthony (Lisa) Schebell of West Palm Beach, FL and Linda Ulanowski of Williamsville. Proud grandmother of Christopher Lloyd Wood, Shannon Schebell, Erin Schebell and Laurie Ulanowski. Great-grandmother of Hayden Wood.  Sister of Dolores (Bruce) Burghard and John (Diane) Farino. Sister-in-law of Ruth Farino. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends received by the family on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Oliver at Center Streets at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
