Joshua Lee Smith

YOUNGSTOWN, OH —  

Joshua Lee Smith, 34, of Youngstown, OH, died early Saturday morning, November, 24, 2012, in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman. He was born on April 22, 1978, in Warren, OH, the son of Rick L. Smith and Janet M. Williams Onatz.
Joshua was a 2000 graduate of Champion High School. He worked at the Purple Cat Workshop in Coutsville Ohio and the Fairhaven Workshop in Champion, OH. He was a member of the Golden String Bowling League.  Joshua enjoyed bowling, basketball and collecting clocks. He loved his cat, Oreo.
Joshua is survived by his mother and step-father, Janet M. (John J.) Onatz of Warren Ohio; his father and step-mother, Rick L. Smith (Linda C.) Smith of North Tonawanda; one sister, Keri (Jeff) Scheid of Hilliard, OH; step-siblings, Valerie Barnes and Tom Barnes, both of North Tonawanda; one nephew, Graham Scheid; his grandmothers, Barbara Williams and Marilyn Smith, both Cortland, OH; and his roommate and adopted brother, Matt Dreyfus of  Youngstown, OH.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Farmer Casey's Ranch (the Purple Cat), 4738 McCartney Rd., Coltsville Center, OH, where the family will greet friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the GNFC (Boy Scouts), contact Stuart at 716-891-4073.
