John F. Zuchowski

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

John F. Zuchowski of North Tonawanda entered into eternal life, Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the age of 94, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Buffalo, NY, Mr. Zuchowski resided in North Tonawanda for the past sixty-five years. A US Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Stephen Sikora Post 1322 American Legion and O.L.C. Holy Name Society. Mr. Zuchowski was a retired employee of General Motors, Tonawanda, and enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren. John and his wife, Irene, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2012.
Beloved husband of Irene (nee Dymek) Zuchowski; dearest father of Christine Berg of Lockport; proud and loving grandpa of R. Christian Berg of Arlington, VA and Jessica (Eric) Goudy of Lockport; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Gavin and Reese Goudy; father-in-law of Ralph Berg, M.D. Brother of the late Walter Rose Zuchowski.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on MONDAY, December 3rd from 3-7 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271) where prayers will be offered on Tuesday at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 9:30 AM. Entombment Ascension Mausoleum, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
O.L.C. Holy Name Society will have prayers on MONDAY at 4 PM.
Sikora Post will have services on MONDAY at 4:30 PM.
