Donna C. Szymanski

TONAWANDA —  

Donna C. (nee Pienta) Szymanski, 66, of Tonawanda, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, December 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Bronislauis and Alice (nee Winiatowski) Pienta.
Donna owned and operated Donna's Beauty Shop for 31 years. She was co-owner of the Stardust Lounge and assisted her husband, Dennis, in his business' Chester Market and Catering by Dennis in North Tonawanda. Prior to her illness, Donna was very active in the DeGraff Auxiliary, Zonta Club and Third Warders Ladies Auxiliary.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dennis C. Szymanski; brother, Eugene "Terry" Pienta; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, very special cousins and friends.
The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 13, 2012, from 1-9 PM at Colucci Funeral, 652 Oliver Street North Tonawanda, (692-4917). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver Street. An interment service will follow at White Chapel Memorial Park, 3210 Niagara Falls Blvd., West Amherst, for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials in Donna's memory to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd.,  Cheektowaga, NY 14227-1480.
