Mary F. Skribis

NORTH TONAWANDA — Mary F. (nee Stooks) Skribis, age 87, of the City of Tonawanda, Saturday, November 24, 2012, at DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. Born in Nanticoke, PA, she had been a resident of Tonawanda for more than 50 years and was the wife of Burton F. Skribis, who died in 1990; and was the sister of the late Stanley "Jerry" Stooks and Felicia Duchnick. Mary had many hobbies but considered her grandchildren her greatest love.

She is survived by three daughters, Vicky (Peter) Deeb of Tonawanda; Kathy (Ken) Holler of North Tonawanda and Terry (Marty Witt) Tiedeman of Arizona; and a son, Thom (Pam) Tiedeman of Florida; eight grandchildren, Charlene (Steve) Ryder, Colleen Mayer, Adam (Amy) Mayer, Frank (Lena) Gagner, Jake Gagner, Michael Deeb, Katey Deeb and Amy (Tony)        Barrett; 11 great-grandchildren and her brother, Karl (Evie) Stooks of Ithaca, NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 29th at 11:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St., in Tonawanda. Friends are welcome to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements  by John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., Tonawanda, NY.
