Mary Ann Rees

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

Mary Ann (nee Brunner) Rees, age 76, of North Tonawanda, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Born in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (nee Duerr) Brunner and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. A member of Salem United Church of Christ, Mary Ann was the wife of the late Wayne C. Rees, who died in 1995; step-mother of the late Edward Rees and Bonnie Baldwin; and sister of the late Edward F. Brunner.
She is survived by her step-children, Ronald (Rena) Rees, Wayne Rees, Karen (Richard) Ruffner, and Wendy Whitfield; and her sister, Augusta (Eugene) Schultz. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Thursday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday at Salem United Church of Christ on Morgan Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Elmlawn Cemetery. If desired, memorials to St. Mary's School for the Deaf are preferred by the family.
