Valerie "Val" Galante

BUFFALO — Valerie "Val" (nee McCormick) Galante, age 66, of Buffalo, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on February 16, 2013. She was born on September 13, 1946 to Susan Sloan McCormick and the late John McCormick. She had lived in the City of Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Cheektowaga and Buffalo. She was a graduate of Tonawanda High School.

Beloved mother of Nicole (Brad) Bonar and Chuck Galante. Loving and proud grandmother of   10 grandchildren. Dear sister of Deborah (Steve) Soukup, Michael (Jill) McCormick and Shawn  McCormick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was loved by all greatly and will be severely missed.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, music and being involved in the rescue of animals, especially her beloved cats.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity or the ASPCA in her memory.
