Eugene "Gene" Boyer

TOWN OF TONAWANDA —  

Eugene "Gene" Boyer, age 71, of the Town of Tonawanda, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Geraldine (nee Liedl) Boyer and had been a resident of Tonawanda for most of his life. He was the brother of the late Kathleen Boyer.
He is survived by his beloved children, Gina (Rachelle) Galipeau and Eugene (Susan) Boyer, Jr.; his siblings, Mary L. Boyer, Doreen (Richard) DeBoth, Francis Boyer, and Raymond (Kelly) Boyer; his dear granddaughters, Lana and Gracie; his foster-granddaughter, Denise; and his step-grandchildren, Lauren, Bryan and Jenny. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends.
Friends may call from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM on Sunday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the Niagara County SPCA are preferred by the family.
