Genevieve Hamman

TONAWANDA —  

Genevieve (nee Stelmach) Hamman, age 91, of Tonawanda, died on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose (nee Ratar) Stelmach and was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. She had been employed in the office at Columbus McKinnon before retiring. Mrs. Hamman was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the DeGraff Hospital Auxiliary, and had been a Red Cross Volunteer for many years.
She is survived by her son, Roger (Carol) Hamman; three grandchildren, Brian and Craig Hamman and Sharon (James) Anderson; and a niece, Kathleen Turner. Also surviving are two great-grandsons; and many other nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. Friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to the American Heart Association are preferred by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Tonawanda.
