Charles G. Kinmartin

TONAWANDA —  

Charles G. Kinmartin, age 95, of Tonawanda, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late William and Louise (nee Kornath) Kinmartin and had been a resident of Tonawanda for 60 years. Charles was employed at Dunlop Tire Plant in the Town of Tonawanda until retiring in 1980 and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, where he was a former usher, Niagara Hose Company #3, and the Fireman's Benevolent Association in Tonawanda. He was the husband of the late Dorothy J. Kinmartin, who died in 1998, and father of the late Colleen Kinmartin, who died in 1977.
He is survived by two sons, William (Brandy) Kinmartin and Charles (Joan) Kinmartin, Jr.; three grandchildren, Jessika Laing, William (Erin) Kinmartin and Brittney Kinmartin; a brother, Robert (Mary) Kinmartin; and a sister, Rita Noe.  Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Acacia Park Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the St. Francis School Endowment Fund are preferred by the family.
