Suzan M. Baker

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

Suzan M. (nee Newbury) Baker, age 59, of North Tonawanda, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Walter Newbury. Suzan was a 1972 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and had been employed as an Administrative Assistant for Cannon Design on Grand Island.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Walter J. Baker; four children, John (fiance Jennifer Weiss) Baker of Ohio, Keith (Laura) Baker of North Tonawanda, Michael (Michele) Baker of Tonawanda and Kimberly (Kevin) Prohaska of Rochester; six grandchildren, Brooke, Briana, Owen, Tyler, Gabriel and Sammy; her mother, Shirley A. Newbury of Wheatfield; and three brothers, John (Jan) Newbury of Belmont, NY, Glen (Nancy Brice) Newbury of Niagara Falls and Jeff (Shelly Kolacz) Newbury of North Tonawanda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation or funeral service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Suzan's Life on Saturday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM at the Eldredge Club, 17 Broad Street, Tonawanda. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034 (www.nationalbreastcancer.org). Arrangements by John O.
