Virginia P. Deverell

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

Virginia P. (nee Neubauer) Deverell, age 90, of North Tonawanda, March 18, 2013 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Virginia was a former employee of the North Tonawanda Board of Education. She was a founder and treasurer for the Association for Retarded Children. For the past 70 years, she belonged to a social club that met weekly. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
She was the wife of the late Bartlett A. Deverell, who died in 1976. Beloved mother of Glenn A. (Maureen) Deverell of North Tonawanda, Brian L (Cassie DeMarco) Deverell of Forestville, NY and Warren Deverell of North Tonawanda; grandmother of Glenn Deverell Jr. and Nicholas Bellina; great-grandmother of Ashley Kittinger; sister of the late Harold Neubauer; aunt of William and James Neubauer.
No prior visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday at 11 AM from the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda. The Rev. Dr. David S. Belasic will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
