CITY OF TONAWANDA —
Patrick W. McCabe, age 81, of the City of Tonawanda, Thursday, December 13, 2012, unexpectedly, at his residence. Patrick was born May 3, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Jack and Elizabeth McCabe. He was a lifelong resident of Tonawanda, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and served in the Air National Guard at the Niagara Falls Air Base. He worked for Buffalo Slag Co. for more than 30 years, and also worked as a carpenter for many years after retirement. He loved to fish, hunt and go boating. Most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and his family. He was always ready with a story or a joke!
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly (nee Harney) McCabe; father of Michael (Mary Ellen) McCabe of North Tonawanda; Paul (Shawn) McCabe of Atlanta, GA; and Patrick (Cheryl) McCabe of North Tonawanda; and was the grandfather of Alex, Marlee, Zachary, Samuel, Maxwell, Kate and Ella.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St., in Tonawanda. The Rev. Michael Uebler will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements by John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., Tonawanda, NY.
