Julio Serrano

TONAWANDA —  

Julio Serrano, age 63, of the City of Tonawanda, died suddenly at his residence on Saturday, December 29, 2012, only two days after the passing of Linda K. Snedden, his loving companion of 25 years. Born in Camuy, Puerto Rico, to the late Bonifacio and Laura (Barreto) Serrano, he had been a resident of the City of Tonawanda for the greater part of his life, and was the father of the late Steven E. Serrano.
He is survived by six sons, Mark James Serrano of the Town of Tonawanda, David Lee Serrano of Buffalo, NY, and Cruz, Julio, Ramondo, and Travis Lee Serrano, all of the City of Tonawanda; one sister, Isaura (late William) Marshall of North Tonawanda, NY; and four brothers, Juan "Tony" (Cheryl) Serrano, Rafael Serrano, and Rene (Maryann) Serrano, all of North Tonawanda, NY, and Richard (Lynn) Serrano of the Town of Tonawanda. Julio is also survived by many loving grandchildren; and was the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (Between Morgan & Broads Sts.) City of Tonawanda. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 11 AM in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St. in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Rev. David Belasic will officiate. Private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
