Stephen Oscar Tremblay

MEBANE, NC — Mr. Stephen Oscar Tremblay, 69, of 6213 South Wind Court, Mebane, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 3:35 PM.

A native of Erie County, NY, he was the husband of Patricia Kay Tremblay, who survives and the son of Oscar Tremblay and Lucy Charland Tremblay, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors. Stephen was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was a friend of Bill W. for 30 years.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors Include a daughter, Lori Tremblay of Tonawanda, NY; two sons, Daniel Tremblay and wife, Sherry of Liberty, NC and Stephen Tremblay and wife, Kathleen of Hillsborough, NC; a step-son, John Spitzer and wife, Regina of Chapel Hill, NC; a brother, Dennis Tremblay and wife, Patty of Salamanca, NY; eight grandchildren and five     great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Joseph Spitzer.

The funeral service will be conducted at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday,   January 16, 2013, at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. Other times they will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
