NORTH TONAWANDA —
Philip A. Deters, age 92, of North Tonawanda, unexpectedly on January 17, 2013 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Philip was a WWII veteran, he was a former employee of Hooker Chemical and had also worked as a custodian at Gilmore School. He was an usher and member of Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church and the former St. Joseph R.C. Church.
Beloved husband of Gertrude (nee Blazejewski) Deters. Father of Marcia (David) Stahl of Medina and Craig Deters of Germantown, MD; grandfather of Celeste (Howard) Balaban and Jeffrey Stahl; great-grandfather of Alex and Teasan Stahl. He was the brother of the late Josephine Borks, John Emmett Deters and Robert Deters.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM from Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church. Interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Lancaster.
