Alfred J. DeMart

NORTH TONAWANDA — Alfred "Al" J. DeMart, 89, of North Tonawanda at DeGraff Memorial Hospital on Saturday        (January 19, 2013). Al was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. He served the North Tonawanda Community as a Police Officer for 31 years. Al was a WWII U.S. Army veteran who served in Africa and Europe. He was a member of Post 264, the Renaissance Club and Live Hose 4.  When Al was a Police Officer, he was a member of the Western New York Police Pistol League. Son of the late Angelo and Maria DeMart. Brother of the late Rose Miano, Frank DeMart, Joseph DeMart, Grace Maiolo and  Michael DeMart.  

Beloved husband of Mary T. (nee Fanto) DeMart. Loving father of Kathleen "Kathy"        (Jeffrey) Curtis, Francis "Frank" (Christina) DeMart and Rosemarie "Rosie" DeMart. Brother of Dominic (the late Nellie) DeMart, Eugenia (Joseph) Falzone, Violet (the late Frank) DiVincenzo. Proud grandfather of three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by       several nieces and nephews.  

Friends received by the family on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, from 4-8 PM at the Brunner       Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 9:30. Entombment with military honors will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
