NORTH TONAWANDA —
Laura Socha, of North Tonawanda, passed away, peacefully, after a brief illness at Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Sophie (nee Kipa) Jastrzemski; son, David Frank Socha; brother, Chester (Michaline) Jastrzemski; sisters, Lottie (Matt) Piorkowski, Alfreda (James) Cotton, Helen (Edward) Kijowski.
Laura enjoyed her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and had a great sense of humor. Laura was a life member of AmVets Post 26 Ladies Axillary, Stephen Sikora American Legion Post 1322 Ladies Axillary, Third Warders Club Ladies Axillary, Our Lady of Czestochowa Seniors Club and Pallentine Shrine.
Laura is survived by her loving husband, Frank E. Socha; daughters, Barbara Larson, Janice (Karl) Kendall and son, Dennis (Judy) Socha; sister, Claudia (Joseph) Kijowski; brother, Frank (Rose) Jastrzemski and also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at church. A memorial service will celebrate Laura's life on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials in Laura's memory to Niagara Hospice Alliance, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094-1231.
