NORTH TONAWANDA —
Ruth I. Beach (nee Ralyea), age 86, of North Tonawanda, February 9, 2012 in Northgate Manor Nursing Home. Ruth was a former officer of Church Women United and was recognized as a "Valiant Woman" by that organization in May of 2007. She had been active in the DeGraff Auxiliary and at Payne Avenue Christian Church.
She was the wife of the late Wesley Beach for 56 years. Beloved mother of Susanne (late Robert) Hall of North Tonawanda, Margaret Summers of Raleigh, NC, and David Beach of the Town of Niagara. Grandmother of Alanna (John) Summers-Linden, Jonathan Summers, Tara and Tyler Beach; sister of Jean Rogers of Pennsylvania. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, on Sunday from 1-5 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM from Payne Avenue Christian Church, 1451 Payne Ave., in North Tonawanda, the Rev. Jerry McGlone will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
